New i10 was designed to suit the European market
Hyundai Europe released the first batch of photos of the latest i10. The company's new A-segment car has arrived 5 years after the launch of the previous model.
Buyers of the new i10 will be offered comfort and safety features such as automatic climate control, heated leather steering wheel, cruise control with speed limiter, standard-fitment stability control, and front curtain airbags.
The new i10 is based on a new platform featuring a 5mm-longer wheelbase and relocated rear dampers. Compared to its predecessor, this car is longer by 80mm, wider by 65mm, and lower by 50mm. Total legroom space sums up to 1890mm with the boot capacity increased by more than 10% to 252 liters with all seats in place.
The dynamic shape of the new i10 was crafted by the European Hyundai design team led by Chief Designer Thomas Burke. It emphasizes the car’s athletic proportions and generous external dimensions. Furthermore, the new design from the technical center in Germany was specifically done to address the European market. It will become the first A-segment Hyundai to be built in the region for the European market. The Philippine and ASEAN versions will come from Korea.
