Suzuki is also building a Euro-spec Celerio

The 2014 Suzuki Celerio makes its global debut at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo in New Delhi India. The new-generation Celerio is based on the A:Wind Concept which made its debut at the 2013 Thailand Motor Expo in November. The new Celerio effectively replaces the Alto nameplate, which Suzuki has decided to retire after 35 years.

Design elements for the new Celerio is generally based on the A:Wind Concept with side body character lines added to the production model while the front-end has been simplified for economical concerns. Dimension-wise, the Celerio measures in at 3600 mm long, 1,600 mm wide, 1,560 mm high with a 2,425 mm wheelbase; it carries nearly the same dimensions as the concept with height receiving an additional 20 mm.

Under the hood is a K10 1.0-liter 3-cylinder gas engien capable of 69 PS and 90 Newton-meters of torque. Power is transmitted either in five-speed manual or an automated (clutchless) manual transmission.

The Japanese automaker also announced that they will debut the Euro-spec 2014 Celerio at the 84th Geneva Motor Show in March.
