Restyled Ford Focus ST makes dynamic reveal promising better performance
After teasing their new hot hatch earlier this week, Ford has finally lifted the covers off the 2015 Focus ST at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.
The 2015 Ford Focus ST has a restyled exterior similar to the current Focus hatchback. It is fitted with an HID headlamps as standard, modified bumpers, new hood and fog lamps. The vehicle is also equipped with 18-inch Rado Gray alloy wheels.
Ford says the 2015 Focus ST has sports suspension that features new front springs and sportier shock absorbers to deliver better dynamic performance.
The 2015 Focus ST is powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBosst four-cylinder engine delivers 255 PS with 366 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 247 km/h. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
"The engineering enhancements to the suspension, steering and electronic control systems deliver greater responsiveness, agility, precision and an exhilarating driving experience,” said Joe Bakaj, Ford Europe, Vice President of Product Development.
Inside, it has a redesigned instrument panel with improved climate controls. The center console has more storage space that includes a new media din with USB smart charging port. It also has a flat bottom steering wheel. Moreover, a rear view camera comes standard.
