RTR (Ready To Rock) has recently released its true-to-form artist renderings of their upcoming 2015 Mustang RTR edition; a model that will hit select Ford dealerships on January 2015. The car's overall styling and performance upgrades was managed by 2010 Formula D champion and Mustang afficionado Vaughn Gittin Jr.

“Ford’s Mustang team has done an incredible job with the new 2015 Ford Mustang. The RTR team and I are pumped to work with such an incredible platform for RTR builds. Without a question, the performance and overall presence of the new Mustang RTR will impress and keep a smile on our customers’ faces whether cruising the streets or getting crazy on the track. I cannot take delivery of mine soon enough,” said Vaughn Gittin Jr.

The 2015 Mustang RTR will be the latest addition to the RTR family and will be available in either Spec 1 or Spec 2 serialized vehicles. It will be based off the new Ford S550 platform and will utilize an independent suspension system. Powering the car will either be a 2.3-liter inline-four cylinder engine that is rated to produce over 300 PS, or a 5.0L V8 that creates over 435 PS.

Besides being available as a whole car, RTR will also offer the components used on the 2015 Mustang RTR as aftermarket parts for those that opt to customize their 2015 Ford Mustang on their own accord. The said components will also be available on January 2015.

The Mustang RTR project was started by Vaughn Gittin Jr. himself back in 2012 as a means of introducing something new to the Mustang.
