Suzuki Baleno is the production version of the iK-2 concept
Suzuki has announced that they will reveal the all-new Baleno hatchback at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
According to the Japanese automaker, the Baleno is the production version of the iK-2 concept that was shown at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.
In terms of the design, Suzuki said the Baleno combines “stylish” exterior, “spacious interior and new technologies.”
Based on the teaser video released by Suzuki, the Baleno's fascia is fitted with sweptback headlights, a black grill and chrome trim. Turning at the side, the vehicle is characterized by sharp lines.
The rear of the Baleno comes with a roof-mounted spoiler as well as an aggressive-looking taillights.
Suzuki adds that the vehicle will be equipped with the company's 1.0-liter Boosterjet direct injection turbocharged petrol engine. The automaker has yet to release the power output rating. However, Suzuki claims that the said engine saves fuel while delivering driving pleasure.
