Android Auto makes its debut via Hyundai's 2015 Sonata
Hyundai has announced that the 2015 Sonata will become the first production vehicle that will come standard with Android Auto.
The Android Auto is a system that provides suggested locations and travel times based on the user's searches, calendar appointments as well as home and office locations. Hyundai adds that the system can provide weather information and “now playing” display for music streamed through the phone.
It also features apps such as Google Maps, Google voice search, messaging, phone calling and Google Play Music upon connecting the Android phone to the Hyundai vehicle.
The system can generate the necessary information through a Goggle Now card-based technology. In general, Google Now displays information taken from the user's Gmail account.
According to Hyundai, owners will need the Android 5.0 “Lollipop” operating system and they have to connect their phone to the car's USB port through a micro USB cable.
The Android Auto will later become available on other Hyundai models.
