Civic hatchback set to debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show
Honda has released a teaser image of the Civic hatchback, which is set to debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.
Based on the teaser, the vehicle shares similarities with the Civic sedan and the Civic coupe through the C-shaped taillights. The lone teaser also suggests that the 2016 Civic hatchback has a muscular bumper, a large diffuser and dual exhaust pipes.
Powertrain details are yet to be revealed by Honda but, the sedan and the coupe models are available with two engine options: a 2.0-liter VTEC engine and a 1.5-liter turbocharged unit. The former delivers 158 PS and 187 Nm of torque while the latter puts out 174 PS and 219 Nm.
The Japanese automaker says the Civic hatchback is scheduled for a European launch in early 2017 and it will be produced at Honda's plant in Swindon from where it will be exported to global markets.
