More space, tech for all-new Pilot
Earlier this month, Honda Philippines announced that they will be bringing in the third-generation model of their mid-size crossover, the Pilot. Honda has now launched the 2016 Pilot, which debuted in last year's Chicago Auto Show.
Like the first two generations, the all-new third-generation Pilot was designed and developed in America by Honda R&D Americas, Inc. The redesigned mid-sized SUV sports a sleeker design accentuated by distinctive character lines and an aggressive new face. Up front, it has LED Projector Type Headlight with Signature LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), and LED Tail Lights, as well as new 18-inch alloy wheels completing the all-new Pilot's new look. Access to the third row on the other hand has been made easier with an automatic slide and tilt function.
In the safety front, the Pilot was awarded the 2016 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick+ thanks to the Advance Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure, and Honda SENSING. The All-New Pilot is the second Honda vehicle in the Philippines to exhibit this system following the Legend. On the other hand, the Honda Sensing adds Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) , Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
