2.0-liter TFSI engine now available in all-new Audi Q7
A smaller yet potent engine is now available for the new-generation Audi Q7.
The automaker recently announced that the 2017 Q7 will be available in 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
The company claims that this makes the vehicle lighter in weight by 225 kg and half a second quicker to reach 97 km/h compared to the 2015 Q7 3.0 T V6. Meanwhile, with the optional towing package, the Q7 can tow up to 1,996 kg of payload. Also, Audi estimated that the 2.0-liter Q7 will also be 22-percent more fuel efficient.
In terms of output, the new engine produces 255 PS at 5000 - 6000 rpm along with 370 Nm of torque at 1600 - 4500 rpm. Power is then transferred to all four wheels via an 8-speed tiptronic transmission with quattro all-wheel drive.
Its exterior, on the other hand, retains the same features as the current model available in the market. It is equipped with the latest Multi Media Interference (MMI) and infotainment options including Bose 3D Sound System and the brand's virtual cockpit and Google Map images support with 4G LTE.
Other amenities include advanced driver assistance system which helps the driver navigate the road with ease, standard Audi Pre Sense® City and an automatic emergency braking system that detects stationary vehicles and pedestrians. It also initiates full braking at speeds of up to 84 km/h when a potential collision is detected.
It is also equipped with adaptive cruise control which has stop & go feature. With this, the vehicle automatically maintains distance from the vehicle in front, including braking and accelerating.
The updated 2017 Audi Q7 with 2.0-liter turbo-charged four-cylinder engine will be available in the US market in early 2017.
