JLR Special Vehicle Operations confirms Jaguar F-Type SVR for Geneva debut
The 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR will be officially revealed at this year's Geneva Motor Show in March.
The said vehicle was developed to "exploit the sport car's full potential while retaining its day-to-day usability." The F-Type SVR is the first production Jaguar to be developed by Special Vehicle Operations, Jaguar Land Rover's tuning division.
"The new F-TYPE SVR is the first series production Jaguar car to be developed by Special Vehicle Operations and benefits from everything we know about precision engineering, performance and design," said John Edwards, Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations.
The exterior of the Jaguar F-Type SVR comes with sweptback headlights, a large front bumper, air intakes and a splitter. The vehicle also has vented hoods, prominent wheel arches and sharp character lines. The rear, on the other hand, is fitted with slim taillights, a spoiler and quad titanium exhaust pipes.
Exact powertrain details are yet to be revealed by the automaker, however Jaguar did confirm that the 2017 F-Type SVR is capable of accelerating to 322 km/h.
Full technical specifications of the F-Type SVR will be available on February 17, 2016.
