Over 50 car and bike brands on display in TME 2016
Starting December 1, 2016, the 33rd Thailand Motor Expo opens its doors to over 50 car and motorcycle manufacturers. This year however, the show will take a more sombre approach. Following the passing of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the organizers have amended activities as a sign of respect to the revered King.
The organizers have requested the exhibitors to call off lights and sounds shows during the event. Along with that, the “Smart Pretty Vote 2016” event has been canceled as well. According to the organizers, the quieter approach to this year's Motor Expo, “harmonizes with the feelings and sensitivities of the Thai people at this moment in time.”
Activities retained are the many raffle draws throughout the three day event. These are “Buy a Car Win a Car”, “Buy a Ticket Win a Car”, “SMS to Win a Car”, “Buy a Motorbike Win a Big Bike” and “Buy Merchandise to Win a Prize”. Cars and motorcycles up for raffle include an MG GS 2.0T 2WD D, Subaru Forester 2.0i, Mitsubishi Mirage 1.2 GL M/T and a Yamaha MT-09.
On top of that, 36 automakers and 19 motorcycle manufacturers will be displaying their vehicles at this year's Motor Expo.
