Bearing the concept 'Art of Auto', the 36th BIMs will showcase the art in the world of automobiles where development and creativity of a car's design and performance has no boundaries according to Dr. Prachin Eamlumnow, President / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited and the President of the 36th BIMS.

Highlights during the event include the unveiling of concept cars and new production models which will be put on sale at the show along with extraordinary promotions.

The event will be held at the Impact Arena's Challenger Halls 1 – 3 which covers more than 140,000 square meters. The arena itself is located at the Pak Kret District of Nonthaburi, Thailand.

For this year, the accessories zone has been relocated to the activity ground which allows an extra space of about 4,000 square meters within the Challenger Halls 1 – 3. As a result, this makes BIMS the only automotive show in Thailand to have the biggest exhibition space.

“The Bangkok International Motor Show has been raised to the world class standard already since BIMS is now listed among the top 5 of the world's best motor show. Car and motorcycle companies place priority in our show, whereas many makers, particularly choose the BIMS as the venue for their product debut. We have been the pioneer and the trend setter for this kind of event in Thailand for more than 36 years now,” said Jaturont Komolmis, Executive Committee, Chief Operation Officer of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited and the Vice President of the 36th BIMS.

In addition, Komolmis also stated that BIMS has been classified as an A-Plus motor show which is equivalent to other world class motor shows. He also explained that the same concept and materials used in other motor shows around the world are imported from overseas and that companies have invested more than THB 80 million (about PhP 108 million) in constructing and designing each pavilion. In total, the overall budget of the 36th BIMS amounted to THB 100 million (about PhP 135.9 million)

Komolmis ended his statement by saying that the Thailand's automotive market has stabilized and that the political situation is now steady.
