75 cars do donuts to set a new World Record image

Some race. Some enter car shows. These guys in Northern California, however, chose to do donuts.

Just days after we posted about a Chinese driver setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest loop-the-loop, drifters took to the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California to have a go at the record for the most cars performing simultaneous donuts.

The previous record was set at 57 cars back in 2010 in Queensland, Australia. The Sonoma attempt was done by 75 cars, beating the old record by 18. The cars spun for 15 seconds in small circles. The feat was performed in front of more than 300 spectators.

Raceway officials submitted the evidence to the Guinness World Records to make it official. A lot of the videos are available online, like the one below.
