Affordable quality servicing: Bosch Car Service

Following the successful flagship inauguration of the first Bosch Car Service (BCS) garage with the Top Gear Auto Service Center, the world's largest network of independent workshops recently opened its second BCS center in Cubao via its partnership with Bionicwheels.

Located near the Araneta Coliseum area, Bionicwheels has established itself as a reputable automotive service provider among its immediate clientele in Cubao's car hub. With its BCS accreditation, the workshop is now able to provide OE workshop ("casa") services at a lower cost for its growing clientele.

"Having a strong partner like Bosch, a well-known brand for quality and innovation, influences my workforce to perform and live up to its standards," says Albert Go, proprietor of Bionicwheels. Workshop personnel under the BCS program attend courses at the Bosch-owned Philippine Technical Training Center (PATTC) in Makati as part of the company's initiative to professionalize the local service workforce. This is in addition to providing BCS partners with technology and the proper infrastructure to serve as a viable one-stop-shop for car diagnostics and spare parts.

"Since we became a Bosch Car Service, a 10 to 20-percent increase in our parts revenue has been realized while service income increased by (up to) 20-percent," according to Go. While casa-quality parts and labor are in the offering at Bionicwheels, their prices remain competitively lower than OE workshops. "This creates a very strong pull effect for vehicle owners to bring their cars to us for repairs and maintenance works," he explains.

Go has adapted the official Bosch corporate design and service offering in his workshop - the same quality standard that Bosch maintains in over 14,300 garages worldwide. His BCS accreditation also helped his workshop overcome the technical challenges of servicing new, complex vehicles that other independent workshops (i.e. neighborhood garage) have difficulty working with. Bosch Diagnostics equipment technology also helps address these challenges with rapid troubleshooting and qualified repair.

With the "Bosch Car Service" concept, Bosch enables suitable independent workshops through mechanic training, up-to-date service information and modern diagnostic systems. Through the BCS, more and more workshops are able to respond to the growing service requirement of motorists and their vehicles through expert cross-brand service and quality work.
