Meet Ford's latest pony car - the 2015 Mustang
Ford PH has launched the 2015 Mustang at the Bonifacio High Street Central in Taguig City. The sixth generation Mustang features innovative technologies, an all-new independent rear suspension configuration to give world-class performance and comfortable driving experience.
With this, Ford PH Managing Director Kay Hart said that the all-new Mustang is designed with a more contemporary look. Hart added that the Mustang's 50 year legacy is at the heart and soul of the brand.
“The all-new Mustang represents the very best of Ford and its arrival marks the latest chapter of the iconic muscle car’s rich legacy, crafted with a more contemporary look and feel. With a history spanning more than 50 years, this iconic car is at the heart and soul of Ford and we are very excited to bring the sixth generation Mustang to the Philippines,” Hart said.
In terms of the exterior, the 2015 Mustang retains the model's key design elements with a cotemporary execution. Up front, the iconic pony is fitted with the brand's signature shark-bite design and trapezoidal grill. It also comes with sharp-looking headlights and a long sculpted hood.
The rear of the 2015 Mustang is equipped with three-dimensional tri-bar taillights, a muscular bumper and dual exhaust pipes. In addition, the vehicle has a short rear deck, reduced roof height, wider rear fenders and lower stance. The 2015 Mustang is finished off with 19-inch aluminum wheels.
Ford said that the interior of the 2015 Mustang features an aviation-inspired cockpit where information controls can easily be accessed by the driver. It also has a three-spoke steering wheel with audio mounted controls and round air vents. The automaker goes on by saying that the vehicle has a large instrumentation, more trunk space as well as a roomier cabin with improved ergonomics and tactile switches.
The 2015 Mustang is packed with advanced technologies such as the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.
The vehicle is powered either by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers 314 PS and 434 Nm of torque or a 5.0-liter V8 unit that generates more than 441 PS and 542 Nm.
The 2.3-litre EcoBoost variant comes in four dynamic colors: Race Red, Oxford White, Magnetic Metallic and Black. The 5.0-liter V8 GT also comes in these four exterior paints with two additional vibrant colors in Triple Yellow Tri-coat and Competition Orange.
The 2015 Mustang is priced at:
2015 Mustang 2.3-liter EcoBoost PhP 2,499,000
2015 Mustang 5.0-liter V8 PhP 2,999,000
The all-new Mustang will be available in Ford dealerships starting next month.
