Aston Martin is taking sports car performance to extremes with the announcement of the new V12 Vantage S. The new car replaces the outgoing V12 Vantage in markets and is now the fastest road-going Aston Martin aside from the One-77 hypercar.
The V12 Vantage S has been restyled and now sports a new carbon fiber vanes with titanium silver mesh. It also features a new lightweight forged alloy ten-spoke wheels that matches its roof finished in black.
The V12 Vantage S is now equipped with the new 573 PS AM28 6.0-liter V12 engine that’s capable of sending the car to speeds up to 329.92km/h. Another new addition to the car is the seven-speed Sportshift III Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) that’s 25kg lighter than the outgoing gearbox.
Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer Dr Ulrich Bez said: “The new V12 Vantage S is, simply, pure Aston Martin. It is extreme in its nature yet truly timeless in its design language. Learning from our successes on the track feeds the development of this type of car and I’m proud to launch such an exciting sports car in this, our centenary year.”
The V12 Vantage S also debuts Aston Martin’s three-stage adaptive damping and power steering assistance that allows the driver to select from three different driving modes: Normal, Sport, and Track.
The cabin meanwhile reflects its powerful nature with a newly-styled seats with a lot of trim materials to choose from like the luxmill, semi-aniline, and Alcantara leathers as well as a sport and carbon fiber lightweight seats.
