Updated lineup to strengthen brand for 2013
Audi Philippines took recently introduced the A1 Sportback, a 5-door version of the A1 subcompact launched in July of last year. The new variant comes with the same 1.4 TFSI engine mated to a 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission, with likewise similar options as the 3-door version. The A1 Sportback retails for Php1,950,000.
Updated A4 lineup
The A4 lineup receives an update with a refreshed look and more powerful engines. The exterior design receives significantly sharper lines reflecting the Audi brand identity. The interior receives a more elegant look as well as updates to the infotainment system.
The 1.8 TFSI multitronic variant now comes with a 170 PS and 320 Nm of torque rated engine; receiving a modest gain of 10 PS and 70 Nm or torque. The 2.0 TDI multitronic variants meanwhile are now rated at 177 PS and 380 Nm; receiving gains of 34 PS and 60 Nm. The new engines coupled with a re-tuned suspension promise a more dynamic driving experience. Also included in the update is a new electromechanical power steering system which gives precise road feedback and also reduces fuel consumption. The steering system adapts its power assist to the vehicle speed.
The updated Audi Q5, introduced in Europe third quarter or 2012, also makes its way to the Philippine market. It likewise receives sharper looking features, new bumpers with larger air inlets and redesigned diffuser inserts, and updated headlamps reflecting the current Audi brand identity. The interior also receives significant updates to the driver’s cockpit, a new infotainment system, and an improved air-conditioning system.
The main highlight for the updated Q5 is the new engines; for the Philippine market, the 2.0 TFSI engine is now rated at 225 PS with 350 Nm of torque, while the 2.0 TDI engine is rated at 177 PS and 380 Nm of torque. Both engine variants are mated to S-tronic 7-speed dual-clutch transmissions. A significantly re-tuned suspension promises more a dynamic chassis to make it the sportiest in its class. Like the A4, the new Q5 also gets the new electromechanical power steering system.
New 2.0 TDI variant for A6
A new entry-level A6 variant has been added to the lineup powered by the 2.0-liter TDI engine which produces 177 PS and 380 Nm of torque.
