Combined CAMPI, TMA, AVID sales report

Based on the monthly sales reports provided by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) and the Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors (AVID), total industry sales during the month of May 2012 totaled 16,442 units*.

CAMPI/TMA's total of 14,265 units in May 2012 was led by Toyota (TMPC), followed by Mitsubishi (MMPC) and Isuzu (IPC). May 2012 sales represent a 31% growth over May 2011.

AVID had a total of 2,255 units sold in May, led by Hyundai (HARI) at 1,737 units. May 2012 sales represents a 27% growth over May 2011.

Total industry sales in May 2012 mark an increase of 28% versus May 2011 (12,873 units) and a growth of 13% over April 2012.

* - CATS Motors, being a member of both CAMPI and AVID, is logged on the totals of both associations, hence they would have registered as having sold double their actual figure. We subtracted their monthly sales of 78 units in May 2012 to account for this.
