Split decision

Well that was quick.

According to news sources, BMW ended its collaboration with PSA Peugeot Citroen with regards to hybrid technologies, less than a year after they tied the hybrid knot.

The joint venture between the two companies was called the BMW Peugeot Citroen Electrification partnership, and would now be retained solely by BMW after PSA Peugeot Citroen announced they would end their part in the JV.

The news comes after the French automotive conglomerate announced their new collaboration with GM for hybrids and after BMW themselves announced a collaboration with Toyota for hybrids as well.

Needless to say, many saw the break up from a long way off.
