Targets Chinese entrepreneurs

Rolls-Royce unveiled the Ghost Series II at the 2014 Chengdu Motor Show in China.

The automaker says the vehicle delivers the "latest industry-leading technology from Rolls-Royce." According to Henrik Wilhemsmeyer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars' Regional Director for Mainland China, the Ghost Series II is a luxury car that targets Chinese entrepreneurs.

"The Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II is the ultimate entrepreneur’s business tool. Following the worldwide success of its predecessor, I am confident that this re-designed and updated Rolls-Royce will continue to attract increasing numbers of new customers to the marque, in particular business entrepreneurs seeking an oasis of calm in a frenetic business world," Wilhemsmeyer said.

The Ghost Series II is equipped with re-sculpted LED headlights infused with daytime running lights. The front air intakes are designed with chrome inserts while the vehicle's bumpers are restyled that give a sense of extra width and height. In addition, Rolls-Royce says the famous waft line of the vehicle has been redesigned to "emphasize the car's effortless dynamism."

Inside, the vehicle features a combination of luxury, technology and connectivity. The British automaker says the Ghost Series II's onboard technology "ensures it is an oasis of calm in a busy, connected world where [one] can do business in peace."

It has electronically adjustable thigh supports for front seat passengers and features a "lounge seat" configuration where the seats are angled towards each other to allow passengers to communicate more easily. The instrument dials and clock have also undergone enhancements with polished metal accents.

The Ghost Series II has an onboard wi-fi and a Satellite Aided Transmission (SAT) that ensures the vehicle to automatically adapt to its surroundings. It also has an updated navigation systems and an optional bespoke audio.

Rolls-Royce has yet to release the powertrain details of the Ghost Series II.
