Chevrolet reveals Cruze's new look
The larger and lighter 2016 Chevrolet Cruze has been revealed in Detroit. The all-new Cruze features a design makeover along with new technologies and advanced safety features.
In terms of dimensions, the 2016 Cruze is 68mm longer and about 25mm shorter in height as compared to the previous model. Chevrolet says the 2016 Cruze has a lighter body with an approximately 113kg lower curb weight.
The 2016 Cruze also comes with a design makeover as seen on the new LED headlights, restyled front grill, redesigned fog lamps and sculpted hood.
The design changes continue to be seen at the Cruze's refreshed taillights and revamped rear bumper. The 2016 Cruze is also fitted with a rear lip spoiler, third brake light and shark fin antenna.
The 2016 Cruze's 2700mm wheelbase allows the vehicle to have more rear leg and knee room. The interior also features Chevrolet's dual-cockpit, a three-spoke steering wheel and a MyLink infotainment system. In addition, the cabin comes with a mixture of accents, from piano black and matte black finishes to chrome trims.
The vehicle comes with advanced safety features including Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Keep Assist and Forward Collision Alert.
The 2016 Cruze is powered by a 1.4-liter turbo engine that delivers 155 PS and 240 Nm of torque.
