To address issues and concerns
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has extended the submission of bid proposals for the Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) project.
According to the DPWH, the agency has postponed the February 2, 2015 bid submission deadline for the Tarlac Section under Phase 1 of the CLLEX project to February 9, 2015. The said expressway starts at the Luisita interchange of the Subic Clark Tarlac expressway (SCTEX) and ends in Cabanatuan City.
The extension was made in order to address additional clarification raised by prospective contractors or bidders. DPWH Secretary Rogelio Singson said that the agency has to extend the submission of bid proposals to prevent any issues that can cause delay for the said project.
“We have to address all the issues or concerns being raised, otherwise, these may again be the causes of the delay in project implementation,” Singson said.
The postponement was issued by DPWH Bids and Awards Committee for Civil Works Vice-Chairman and Bureau of Construction Director Walter Ocampo.
The Japan International Cooperation Agency would fund the construction of the 66.4 km CLLEX. On the other hand, the operation and maintanance of the CLLEX would be under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) program.
