Vehicles with less than 3 passengers to use alternate routes
In an effort to lessen the amount of vehicles that ply along EDSA during peak hours, Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio Singson proposed to ban vehicles that carry less than 3 people.
“Our proposal, which is seriously being considered, will only take effect during peak hours from 7 to 10 in the morning and 5 to 8 in the afternoon, wherein vehicles with three passengers or more can use EDSA,” said Singson.

However, Singson added that traffic agencies should first make alternate routes for the affected vehicles before implementing it.
Apparently this is only one of the many suggestions that the government has thought of to solve the traffic problem in Metro Manila and maximize the use of EDSA during peak hours. Singson also added that the government is still working on the proposal and there will be a meeting about it on Friday.
