Route to Baguio will have motorist assistance centers, says DPWH
Filipinos looking to enjoy the cool breeze of Baguio City during the Holiday season can drive worry-free as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has set up Motorist Assistance Stations along the way to the City of Pines.
Action Officers from the DPWH and a skeletal workforce, which includes members of the Land Transportation Office, the Philippine National Police, local government officials, and even mechanics, will be on hand to render emergency services should the need arise.
Roads on the way up north have also been repaired to ensure the smooth flow of traffic for tourists and the transport of basic goods and services.
In cases where there are ongoing road works and repairs, the DPWH has instructed the local government units (LGUs) to install the necessary signs and advisories so that motorists may be duly informed of the proper route to take.
