Ferrari produced only 39 units of the 250 GTO
Ferrari Classiche, the brand's restoration and maintenance service department, has revealed the restored 250 GTO which was damaged due to an accident back in 2012.
The Ferrari 250 GTO is one of the Italian automaker's rarest model having been produced to only 39 units. The restored Ferrari 250 GTO with chassis number 3445 is owned by American collector Christopher Cox who collided with another vehicle during the model's 50th anniversary tour in France.
After a two year restoration job, the Ferrari Classiche department is ready to return the 250 GTO to Cox. The said vehicle was restored to the original engine and bodywork configuration in which it was delivered to its first owner back in 1962, Bologna-based publisher Luciano Conti. The Ferrari Classiche department also brought back to life the vehicle's Swedish blue and yellow livery as well as its neat interior.
