Online configurator available via FordGT.com
Earlier this year, Ford Philippines said that they will be bringing in the GT supercar to the Philippine market soon. First previewed in the Ford Philippines website, the company is now accepting applications for the GT via FordGT.com.
With that, Ford Philippines is giving the opportunity for Filipinos to be one of the first 500 owners of the 2017 GT. Ford Philippines is also encouraging anyone interested in purchasing the Ford GT to apply. Local applicants will be advised which dealers will be supporting their purchase and, if approved, will complete their purchase with the help of the dealer and the new Ford GT Concierge Service. Accepted applicants from around the world will be contacted by the concierge and provided a tailored experience – not only through the ordering and delivery, but through years of ownership.
In addition, those interested in purchasing the 2017 GT will be able to configure their supercar to their exact specifications. The configurator features a breakdown of color combinations, wheels and materials for the Ford GT, including details on the interior themes. The Ford GT is available in eight exterior colors and four interior combinations.
"The purchase process for the Ford GT is as unique as our all-new supercar. We understand GT customers are strong ambassadors for Ford Motor Company and we look forward to providing them a service as distinct as the car itself," said Henry Ford III, global marketing manager, Ford Performance.
The Ford GT is powered by a 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6. Although exact power figures have yet to be revealed, Ford says output is rated at over 600 PS. Ford's latest supercar is set to become one of the brand's rarest cars with just 250 cars to be built each year. Boosting exclusivity even further is that fact that only three countries in Southeast Asia will be getting the GT, namely China, Macau and the Philippines.
Pricing for the 2017 Ford GT is dependent on market duties, taxes and VAT and includes freight and delivery.
