Ford GT Concept bests 30 others in North American awards
Ford Motor Company is surging ahead of the competition by leaps and bounds not only with what’s under the hood, but also with design, construction and performance as the marquee’s all-new GT wins two major awards at the North American Concept Vehicle Awards.
The racing-bred Ford GT with its ‘EcoBoost® performance, aerodynamics and lightweight carbon fiber construction’ took home the award for Production Preview Concept of the Year along with the award for the Most Significant Concept Vehicle of 2015.
Judged by more than two dozen jurors looking over a total of 30 concept vehicles introduced at North American auto shows in Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and New York, the event honors vehicles that are most likely to influence the future of the automobile industry.
"The Ford GT is already one of the all-time great designs, with styling that is simultaneously breathtaking and aerodynamically functional. A car for the ages," said juror Dan Carney.
This is the fifth win of Ford in this category title.
