AppLink enables voice controlled smartphone apps
Marking the arrival of Ford SYNC AppLink in Asia Pacific, Ford announced the global introduction of three new apps to help enhance the driving experience of AppLink-enabled Ford vehicles.
The first three apps available for Ford AppLink in Asia Pacific are Pandora, Kaliki and TuneIn Radio all of which enables customers to bring their favorite smartphone apps into their vehicles with simple voice commands.
“We’ve been looking forward to bringing Ford SYNC AppLink to this dynamic region, and we’re excited to kick things off with three fantastic apps,” said Ed Pleet, director, Connected Services for Ford in Asia Pacific, Africa and Europe. “With these apps, we’re able to show off some of the capabilities that AppLink customers will be able to enjoy – and this is just the beginning.” adds Pleet.
With Ford SYNC AppLink, customers can control applications on their smartphones from the driver’s seat using voice controls, through the Ford SYNC voice-activated connectivity system. The first three apps available in Asia Pacific will give drivers voice control access to some of the world’s most popular internet services.
