Sales jump 55 % higher, 2,975 units sold

For 2015, Ford posted its best-ever sales performance for the month of November in the Philippines, with retail sales soaring 55 percent year-over-year to 2,975 units. The strong sales momentum was powered by continued strength in demand for the all-new Everest, the EcoSport and the new Ranger. November’s sales contributed to 22,548 units sold year-to-date and keeps Ford on track in delivering record full-year performance in the Philippines.

“Consumers want more choice in their car-purchasing experience and look to Ford for the strength of our vehicle portfolio. Customers value the quality, durability, performance and style of our vehicles, which have contributed to our continued growth in the Philippines.” said Lance Mosley, managing director, Ford Philippines.

Sales for the all-new Everest more than tripled year-over-year to 1,151 units, making it the top-selling nameplate for Ford in the Philippines since its retail launch in September. The all-new Everest was the first in the mid-size SUV segment to feature advances in safety technologies, along with its bold design, high off-road and on-road capability, and a upscale interior with seating for seven.

The EcoSport sold 896 units in November, delivering the compact SUV’s best-performing monthly sales in the Philippines since it was launched locally in 2014. The vehicle’s record performance also helped push year-to-date sales to 7,902 units, a 69 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The Philippines’ best-selling pickup truck, Ranger, sold 716 units in November and contributed to a 9 percent increase in year-to-date sales of 7,661 units.

Ford’s premium Explorer sold 80 units, bringing year-to-date sales to 862 units. Packed with more safety features, new technologies, and design enhancements, the new Explorer is the latest vehicle added to Ford Philippines’ strong SUV lineup, which is already the largest portfolio in the market.

Further preparing for growth, Ford will expand its nationwide dealership network 40 locations when Ford Marilao opens by the end of the year.
