"Individualized" M6 to be presented by BMW at Frankfurt 2015
The German automaker from Bavaria will be unveiling what they call 'a more individual version' of their high performance coupe at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show.
Simply billed as a new M6 Competition Edition, BMW did not state any specifics about the upcoming coupe but they did say that it will be available in a plethora of special exterior finishes along with carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) components.
The cabin on the other hand will be upholstered in an exclusive leather cladding that will come with contrast stitching and other interior revisions.
Like standard M6 models, the new Competition Edition coupe will be driven by a 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 that puts out 600 PS along with 700 Nm of torque. Power is then transferred to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It can go from 0 – 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Fitted with the M Driver's Package, the M6 can go all the way to 305 km/h.
