The UNlimited Black Series

Mercedes-Benz is set to debut an Edition 507 of their C63 AMG performance model at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next month. The new version features a 6.3-liter V8 engine with SLS AMG goodies to produce 507hp (50hp more than standard model) with 610 Nm of torque. The Edition 507 will be available for sedan, coupe and estate variants of the C63 AMG; it is only slightly less powerful than the limited to 800 units Black Edition, which was sold out slightly after its reveal.

"The C 63 AMG with the classic AMG 6.3-litre high-revving V8 naturally aspirated engine is one of the most popular AMG high-performance cars in the world. With the new C 63 AMG Edition 507, we are offering our loyal customers an attractive model variant which boasts even higher performance and at the same time is visually exciting," said Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH

The Affalterbach-based performance house of Mercedes-Benz has fitted their standard 6.3-liter V8 with forged pistons, connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft as seen on the SLS AMG. AMG high-performance composite brakes with red brake calipers will also be fitted to improve stopping power. Initial performance figures show 0-100km/h times of 4.2-seconds for the coupe and sedan, while the estate version clocks in at 4.3-seconds. All variants will have their top speed electronically limited to 280km/h.

The Edition 507 will also be receiving functional aesthetic upgrades in the form of forged lightweight 19-inch alloy wheels (in either titanium grey or matte black), vented aluminum hood from the Black Series, matte grey AMG stripes on the above the rocker panels, and gloss black paint on the trunk spoiler lip, side mirrors and accents on the grill, and daytime running lights.

Inside, the high-gloss piano black lacquer accents and red accented instrument dials, Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, DINAMICA painted shift knob with AMG badge, and the Edition 507 badge on the trim of passenger side further shows off the exclusive interior.

The Edition 507 replaces the AMG Development Package currently available for the C63 AMG. Pricing for the new C63 AMG Edition 507 has not been revealed, purchase however includes a voucher for a driver training session at the AMG Driving Academy.
