Nissan Juke comes with dramatic styling coupled with technological enhancements and a downsized engine.

Nissan has just revealed the Juke, setting the bar higher at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Nissan says the new Juke now comes with a ‘series of design enhancements, new engines, new equipment and a wide-ranging personalization program.’

Getting a comprehensive makeover inside and out the Juke is set to go on sale across Europe in the summer of 2014.

At the front, the upper lamps have been redesigned and now incorporate LED daytime running lamps while the headlamps now have Xenon bulbs for better visibility and new lens covers. The grill incorporates the new Nissan brand signature while the front has been toughened with new trim beneath the bumper.

Door mirrors have been revised to include LED side turn strip repeaters and, where fitted, cameras for the Around View Monitor.

At the rear the bumper has a more aggressive shape to match new revised boomerang tail lamps with LED light guide technology, giving the new Juke a more distinctive appearance at night.

The new colour palette now extends to ten colours and includes three new shades: Sunlight Yellow metallic, Ink Blue metallic and solid Red.

Inside there have been a number of distinctive features, including the center console that takes inspiration from a motorbike. Nissan says their designers have found ways to make the interior even bolder and more dynamic with different themes.

Depending on the model, there are two styles of fabric for the seat upholstery with leather trim on top versions. Changes have also been made to the shape of the trunk area in two-wheel drive models to boost luggage space by 40 percent, taking the overall capacity to a class-leading 354 liters .

Three engines are available for new Juke. The Alliance-developed 1.2-liter DIG-T gasoline engine replaces the outgoing 117 PS 1.6-liter unit. The new engine is turbocharged and has direct injection to deliver 115 PS and 190Nm of torque. The existing 1.6 DIG-T gas engine unit has been improved to deliver more low end torque. The existing and acclaimed 1.5 dCi diesel with 110 PS remains unchanged.

As well as a six-speed manual transmission, the new Juke 1.6 DIG-T 4WD is optionally available with a new X-Tronic transmission.
