New Polo models are ready for Geneva debut
Volkswagen officially made the global presentation of the latest editions of the Polo last January. Equipped with the new EU-6 engines, an electro-mechanical steering system, post-collision braking system, updated switchgear, and an improved infotainment system, the Polo TSI BlueMotion, Polo TDI BlueMotion, Polo Blue GT, and CrossPolo models are prepped and now ready to make their grand reveal at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
The Polo BlueMotion TSI and TDI
The Polo BlueMotion has a “Clearwater Blue Mettalic” paint finish and its body, along with rear and front spoilers, contribute to the better aerodynamics and improved rolling resistance. It has 15-inch “Buenos Aires” alloy wheels that is also designed for low rolling resistance.
The interior of the BlueMotion is highlighted by chrome adornments while the steering wheel, gear lever, and handbrakes get leather treatment.
The Polo BlueMotion TSI is powered by a 1.0 liter turbocharged petrol direct injection engine that can generate an output of 95 PS. On the other hand, the Polo BlueMotion TDI with a 1.2 turbodiesel direct injection engine is capable of producing 75 PS.
The Polo BlueGT
The Polo BlueGT, which has been lowered by 15mm, stands out with smoked taillights, a 17-inch wheels, a roof spoiler, side sills and a modified rear bumper that is designed with a diffuser. It offers front sport seats and also has an upgraded multifunction display and a cruise control system.
Under the hood, the Polo BlueGT is equipped with a 1.4 liter TSI engine that produces up to 150 PS with 250 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted through a six-speed or the optional seven-speed gearbox.
The CrossPolo gets silver highlights on its underbody protection panel on the front and rear bumpers, side mirrors and roofrails. It also comes with smoked taillights and 17-inch alloy wheels. The CrossPolo has two new metallic colors to choose from, “Honey Orange” and Titanium Beige”. The CrossPolo is equipped with sport seats and leather on the steering wheel, gear lever and handbrakes. The CrossPolo is offered in three diesel and three gas engines.
