Geneva 2014: Subaru Viziv-2 concept debuts as the next-gen crossover image

Vision for Innovation shows how advanced technology can improve driving experience

The new Subaru Viziv-2 concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show as a follow up a year after unveiling the original concept. The new version of its two-door four-seater concept is being touted as its next generation crossover inspired by the phrase 'Vision for Innovation'. It is designed to showcase how advanced technology can further improved the Subaru driving experience.

The exterior is designed with Subaru signature 'C' shaped headlamps, and round LED fog lights. The front grill adds to the overall hexagonal shape of the vehicle. At the rear it is equipped with combination taillamps that make the vehicle appear wider. It also has robust bumpers and vectoring lamps.

Inside, the Viziv-2 concept features a cabin which inspires a dynamic and enjoyable driving experience. The design of the instrumental cluster shows the operating status for EyeSight, is Subaru's driver assistance system and the vehicle's multi-directional sensing systems.

The Viziv-2 concept is equipped with Subaru's new independent rear motor-driven Symmetrical AWD system where the hybrid 1.6-liter DIT diesel engine and front electric motor power the front wheels and at the rear two independent motors powers the left and right rear wheels. The powertrain is mated to a Lineartronic (CVT) automatic transmission.
