Track-only supercar limited to only 24 units
After releasing a couple of teaser videos, Aston Martin has revealed the first official photos of the limited edition Vulcan ahead of its debut at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show next week.
According to Aston Martin, the Vulcan is a track-only supercar “born out of [the company’s] motorsport experience” and a vehicle that is limited to only 24 units. It features a carbon fiber monocoque, an integral limited-slip differential, a magnesium torque tube, Michelin tires and Brembo racing brake calipers.
In addition, the Vulcan has an overall aggressive exterior that is predominantly seen on the vehicle’s rear wing and bumper. When viewed from the side, you can see the vehicle’s vented fenders as well as sharp character lines and sporty side skirts.
The interior of the Vulcan is fitted with carbon fiber trims along with a modern steering wheel design. The photo also suggests that the cabin appears to have been integrated with race bucket seats and a roll cage.
Powering this FIA race ready vehicle is Aston Martin’s naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V12 petrol engine. However, the automaker remains secretive in handing out the exact power output ratings. From what we know, the Vulcan can churn out more than 811 PS.
Further details will be revealed during the Aston Martin Vulcan’s debut during the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show.
