Concept likely to preview ASX successor
Mitsubishi has released teaser images of its new compact SUV concept that is set to debut at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show in March.
Based on the silhouette, it bears a striking similarity to the XR PHEV concept debuted at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, which hinted a future ASX crossover. From what we know, Mitsubishi's mysterious SUV concept will feature the brand's next generation 2WD plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) technology as well as its "bold design renaissance."
Moreover, the automaker says the concept is integrated with "smart combination of engineering, fluency with a high-output electric motor, low enviroment impact, dynamic agility and athletic design."
Based on the two teasers, you can't help but notice the concept's sharp-looking headlights illuminated in blue. The images also suggest that the concept is styled aggressively. Turning at the side, you can see the vehicle's strong character lines, angular taillights and large rear bumper. By our estimates, this could very well be a prototype of the upcoming ASX crossover.
