Honda activates major CSR effort for affected regions

Recognizing the horrendous effects of a major flood, not to mention the helplessness that many victims feel, the Honda Motor Company, the Honda Foundation, Honda Philippines (motorcycle division) and Honda Cars Philippines will be donating one million pesos for flood victims in the Philippines.

Below is the full statement from Honda:

[The] Honda Group of Companies in the Philippines would like to express its deepest sympathy to the flood victims of southwest monsoon rain caused by Tropical Storm Maring (international name Trami). Through Honda Foundation, Inc., Honda Motor Co., Ltd’s (Japan) local subsidiaries will provide one (1) million Pesos to help assist in the relief and recovery efforts in partnership with ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc.

ABS-CBN foundation’s disaster emergency and rehabilitation arm, Sagip Kapamilya has been providing relief goods to families affected by Tropical Storm Maring in the National Capital Region and nearby provinces.

The Honda Group of Companies in the Philippines, composed of Honda Philippines, Inc. (Manufacturer and distributor of Honda motorcycles and power products), Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (Manufacturer and distributor of Honda automobiles), Honda Parts Manufacturing Corp. (Manufacturer of automobile component parts) and Honda Trading Philippines Ecozone Corp. (Trading company), is one with the nation in continuously praying and working for the immediate recovery of the victims and rehabilitation of the affected areas.
