Resources diverted to production of compact car and mini vehicle
Honda Motor Co. is reported to halt production of two Japanese domestic market luxury sedans in its Saitama Prefecture plant starting next month. The said models are the Acura RL-based Honda Legend and the Accord-based Honda Inspire.
This move has been made by Honda to further accommodate and allocate its resources to more popular compact cars and started to advise local Honda dealerships in Japan to stop accepting orders of the said vehicles.
Honda may decide to produce remodeled versions of these luxury sedans once introduced next year at a North American facility.
