Honda Motor Co Ltd. recently announced that they will commence sales of their all-new 6 seater Jade starting on February 13, 2015.
Originally revealed during the 2013 Auto Shanghai, the Jade is a minivan that features a stylish exterior, a spacious 6-seater cabin and a hybrid powertrain.
It has a spacious cabin that not only provides sufficient room for 6 occupants but also configurable storage space. Honda designed the Jade to have a flowing dashboard design similar to most of their hybrid models.
The Honda Jade is powered by 1.5-liter DOHC Atkinson-cycle i-VTEC engine and an electric motor (hence the hybrid designation) though Honda has yet to release details on the specifics. The transmission is a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.
Some of the unique features of the Honda Jade include the Honda Sensing system (monitors nearby pedestrian and objects via a sensor and a camera placed on the emblem), the Pedestrian Injury Mitigation Body (absorbs impact in the event of a pedestrian collision) and the Advanced Compatibility Engineering body (enhanced passenger cell protection).
