Bentley's new flagship four-door can go over 320 km/h

Bentley's high-performance luxury four-door gets a slight power upgrade after the Crewe-based automaker revealed the Flying Spur W12 S. According to Bentley, the new flagship four-door blends power and style with its uprated engine, tweaked suspension and unique exterior / interior trim.

At the heart of the Flying Spur W12 S is an uprated 6.0-liter twin-turbo twelve-cylinder engine. It now produces 635 PS and 820 Nm of torque. This equates to a power increase of 10 horsepower and 20 Nm of torque. The bump in power also meant that the Flying Spur W12 S is the first four-door Bentley to break 320 km/h as it now has a top speed of 325 km/h. 0 – 100 km/h, on the other hand now comes in at 4.5 seconds.

The luxury sedan still runs on an AWD system but the drivetrain now delivers 60-percent more power to the rear wheels. The remaining 40-percent is channeled towards the front axle.

The suspension was also revised and now delivers better handling and traction according to Bentley. Meanwhile, optional carbon ceramic brakes with red or black calipers can also be specified for improved stopping power.

Over to its unique exterior, hues of sublte black can now be seen on the Flying Spur W12 S. This can be seen on the front grill, body accents and seven-spoke 21-inch alloy wheels. Black tinting was also used on the headlights and taillights for added sophistication. Completing it all is a 'W12 S' badge on the D-pillar.

Stepping inside, Bentley claimed it gets a sportier cabin too. New features on the Flying Spur W12 S include: new three-spoke steering wheel, knurled paddle shifters, W12 S headrest emblems and tread-plates, a unique blacked-out dashboard with spin-finish and a two-tone leather upholstery with diamond quilting and contrast stitching.
