After rigorous testing and evaluations, the Car Awards Group, Inc. (CAGI) has crowned the Hyundai Elantra as the 2011-2012 Car of the Year Philippines (COTY-P).
The Hyundai Elantra was launched early last year, completing Hyundai's updated passenger sedan line up which includes the Accent, Sonata and Genesis. The Elantra is assembled at Hyundai's state of the art plant in Ulsan, South Korea and is sold locally by Hyundai Asia Resources.
