Hyundai introduces new CRDi Starex variant image

After posting class leading sales in its segment for the first three quarters with the Hyundai Starex which was partly boosted by the introduction of the GRX variant last April, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) once again adds a new variant to its Starex lineup.

The new Hyundai Starex GRX CRDi was recently introduced, fitted with a highly innovative Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDi) engine which offers gasoline engine-like quiet sound and performance with the high torque properties of a diesel engine and most importantly cleaner emissions. The engine was a joint development by Hyundai and US-based Detroit Diesel. The 2.5-liter CRDi engine posts a peak power output figure at 145ps, 33kg-m maximum torque and top speed of 180km/h.

Better fuel economy, especially in times of high fuel prices is what the new CRDi turbodiesel engine offers through efficient combustion and fuel delivery system, promising of up to 15% better fuel economy.

Other features which it inherits from the GRX are uprated brakes, driver-side SRS airbags, rear parking sensor, automatic headlamps, multi-purpose seat hangers, power accessory outlet, electrochromatic mirror, and AM/FM radio with CD player and glass integrated antenna.

The new Starex GRX CRDi is backed by a three-year, 100,000kms factory warranty, which assures customers of genuine Hyundai Mobis parts plus professional service from trained and certified technicians. This warranty is exclusive for units purchased through Hyundai's 16 exclusively authorized dealerships nationwide.
