Aimed for the 'Millenial' generation of consumers

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently launched the 2014 Isuzu D-Max X -Series aimed at those that live the city life but still pursue an active lifestyle outside the metropolis. The X-Series will be based on 4x2 LS variants.

Outside, the hood and tailgate of the pickup is adorned with a racing-style decal trim that is accompanied by a red Isuzu emblem. A cargo spoiler can be found on the roof as well as aero skirts on the front and rear bumpers that adds more style according to the Japanese automaker. Completing the exterior look of the pickup are gun-metallic finished 17-inch alloy wheels.

The seats inside are covered in black fabric and are accentuated by a red contrasting trim. The steering wheel has a red Isuzu badge and is equipped with control buttons that can adjust the car's entertainment system, which is a 2-DIN audio system that has a Tuner and Bluetooth Connectivity. It can also play audio files from a CD, a MP3, a flashdrive, and has an Aux Input Jack as standard. The gauges are electroluminescent and is fitted with a Multi-Information Display.

Under the hood is the same 4JJ1-TC 3.0-liter CRDi turbocharged diesel engine capable of 146 PS and 294 Nm of torque. The engine can be mated with to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic that has a sequential shift function, enabling manual gear-changing if the driver wants to.

Priced at PHP 1,234,000 for the manual version while the automatic variant is priced at PHP 1,286,000. Both will come in either Venetian Red Mica or Silky White Pearl (additional PHP 10,000).
