Kahn Design to pay homage to Aston Martin with the Vengeance project car

Kahn Design has just released sketches of the Vengeance, an Aston Martin DB9-based car that harkens backs to the days of coach-building according to Afzal Kahn, CEO and and Creative Director of the Kahn Group.

Described by the company as a wide body two door coupe that incorporates a silhouette of a sabertooth on the prowl, the front end of the Vengeance still features the DB9's distinct headlights and hood but has a different grill and an altered bumper.

The side profile highlights the car's flowing lines and angular curves and is further accented by a unique set of multi-spoke wheels that feature a roulette-inspired look. The front set measures 20 inches in diameter while the rear set comes in at 21 inches.

Over to the rear, it has widened rear wings, circular taillights and a diffuser that is sitting between dual exhaust pipes. Overall, the look of the Kahn Vengeance gets inspiration from Aston Martin nameplates of the 1980s and 1990s.

No exact powerplant has been provided by Kahn Design, but the standard Aston Martin DB9 is powered by a 6.0-liter naturally-aspirated V12 that delivers 517 PS and 620 Nm of torque through the rear wheels.

“Aston Martin has always been an inspiration, in particular the early Vanquish and the V600 Vantage wide bodies, and I’m grateful for their agreement, and for wishing us success on this project. The Vengeance pays homage to those classic designs while using modern engineering to create something unique and original which reflects my own style,”said Kahn.

The car will eventually go into production later this year in Coventry, UK.
