Milestone achieved in a little over two years

Lamborghini celebrated the overwhelming success of its flagship Aventador LP 700-4 as  it achieved an important milestone in its history, with the 2,000th vehicle produced. The milestone was achieved in only over two years after it started production. The Nero Nemesis car, chassis number 2,000, rolled off the assembly line destined for the United States.

Chassis number 2,000 was bought by Thaddeus Arroyo, an AT&T executive and a passionate Lamborghini customer, who already owns a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Spyder. Arroyo decided to buy an Aventador following a test during a Lamborghini event in Palm Beach, because he was immediately impressed by the extraordinary performance of the car.

The Aventador LP 700-4 has nearly doubled the productivity at the Sant’ Agata Bolognese plant which took more than four years to roll off the 2,000th Murciélago in March of 2006. The plant produces nearly five Aventadors per day.

The Aventador range was expanded earlier this year with an LP 700-4 Roadster model, and an LP 720-4 50°  Anniversario limited edition model. An upgraded model similar to the SV with the Murciélago is expected to be announced as well.
