Sharper looking GK5 Honda Jazz could soon make its world debut

The third generation Honda Jazz (GK5) has been in the local market since mid-2014 and is already ripe for a refresh. Well it looks like Honda has been busy of late as what appear to be images of the refreshed Jazz were leaked ahead of its world debut.

Supposedly slated to be revealed in June, the updated Jazz will apparently adopt an evolutionary redesign, as well as an edgier appearance. For starters, it gets a set of updated headlights that feature a cleaner design. The front bumper and Solid Wing Face grill were also given attention as both now have a more prominent finish.

A new set of alloy wheels with a twin-spoke design appear to also make their way in the Jazz. Images of the rear were also present and it looks like almost everything carries over from the pre-facelift model. The only noticeable changes that can be seen include the updated taillight cluster, slightly tweaked rear bumper and a new tailgate-mounted wing.

Apart from the standard models, a RS (Road Sailing) version of the updated Jazz may also be released soon. One of the hatchbacks finished in white features a aggressive bodykit that is spruced up by subtle red accents on the front bumper. There also what appears the RS badging placed on the Solid Wing Face grill.

There were no interior images of the supposed Jazz facelift, but like the 2017 City refresh, the B-segment hatchback could also come with a subtly revised dashboard and infotainment system.

Powertrain details also remain a mystery but it's highly likely that it will still be available with the 1.5-liter i-VTEC L15 mill. Currently, the engine produces 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque. Transmissions available include a 5-speed manual and a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

As it is supposedly scheduled to make its global debut come June, the refreshed Honda Jazz could arrive in the Philippine market by the end of 2017 or in Q1 of 2018.
