Will be powered by two Skyactiv-G engines
Mazda has introduced the facelifted 2016 CX-5 during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The facelifted 2016 CX-5 features minor changes such as the new grill, restyled headlights and refreshed fog lamps. It also has a new 19-inch aluminum wheels and updated body colors that includes 'Sonic' Silver Mettalic and Titanium 'Flash Mica.'
Inside, Mazda says the 2016 CX-5 has a driver-oriented cockpit design that features their new human-machine interface system. The interior received higer quality materials, new center stack and floor console. Metallic trims can also be seen throught the cabin and Mazda is offering three trims for the instrument panel: an aluminum-look, a metallic-finish and a piano black panel. The 2016 CX-5 also comes with larger storage compartments, a 'Mazda Connect' infotainment system and an electronic parking brake.
Powering the 2016 US-spec CX-5 will be a 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G petrol engine that delivers 157 PS with 203 Nm of torque. On the other hand, Mazda will also offer a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G petrol engine that generates 187 PS with 249 Nm of torque.
