LTFRB outsources new 24/7 hotline to BPO company, launches June 19
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is just weeks away from providing the entire country with a customer service hotline that will deal with concerns regarding public utility vehicles that operate under the authority of the board.
LTFRB Chairman Winston Ginez recently signed a memorandum of agreement with business process outsourcing (BPO) company Dynamic Outsource Solutions 1, Inc. for it to handle the hotline number that will be launched on June 19, 2015 coinciding with the LTFRB’s 28th anniversary.
So that it may be easy to remember, the board has selected ‘1342’ as the new hotline number for passengers and public transport owners all over the country. This number will be able to cater to calls and SMS messages as well.
“The hotline will be activated 24/7 for the purpose of responding to all pertinent queries and complaints from the commuting public on issues affecting them,” Ginez said.
The new LTFRB ‘1342’ hotline number will replace the two current numbers used by the board, one for calls and another for text, streamlining the process for the board and making it easier for the public to remember.
A test run and soft launch in Metro Manila is in the works to ensure a smooth opening on launch day.
