Meeting set for January 21 at the LTFRB office in QC
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has arranged a meeting with online transportation companies GrabTaxi and EasyTaxi and car-sharing service Uber tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday January 21, to finalize their operating rules and regulations.
Calling it a workshop and announced through an ad in newspapers, the meeting will be held in the agency’s main office in Quezon City and will include members of Uber, GrabTaxi and EasyTaxi, all of whom fall under the new category ‘Transportation Network Companies (TNC).’
The meeting is supposed to officially define TNCs and create policies regarding its LTFRB accreditation and operation to ensure the safety of the public.
