Yulon subsidiary Luxgen to enter under Univation Motor Philippines

Luxgen Motor Co. will be establishing its official presence in the Philippines soon.

Unusually we stumbled upon their temporary webpage after a tip from a reliable source. We were pointed to a page under the domain containing content with the name Univation Motor Philippines and Luxgen vehicles.

The Taiwanese-based automaker aims to raise the banner of a Taiwan-based auto brand with the slogan "Think Ahead". The vehicles are being developed by HAITEC, another Yulon subsidiary.

This development comes after Yulon bought out the remaining stake of Nissan Motor Co., Limited (NML) in Nissan Motor Philippines Inc. (NMPI) as part of the establishment of a new Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) which NMPI is also a part of.

A revelation in the middle of 2014 by parent company Yulon said it will be assembling Luxgen vehicles at its NMPI plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna. The 36,000-unit annual capacity plant will be designated as its fourth largest production hub to export to neighboring ASEAN countries and the Middle East.
